Within the Department

  • Served as the student mentor for the Class of 2019 at MEE between 2018 and 2019, providing general consultancy to the students’ activities and daily lives at SUSTech towards their bachelor’s degree.
  • Served on the committee of undergraduate degrees at MEE, providing general consultancy to the undergraduate programs in curriculum design, in charge of designing the curriculum program for undergraduates majored in Robotic Engineering.
  • Served on the committee of undergraduate degrees with honors at MEE, providing general consultancy on student graduation with distinctions, in charge of designing the guidelines for MEE undergraduates with exam-free recommendations to be admitted for master programs in China without taking the National Graduate Student Entrance Examination[1].
  • Served as the Assistant to the Director of the SUSTech Institute of Robotics since 2022, providing academic and administrative assistance to the director in grant applications, internal and external communications, and general affairs in the daily operation of the institute.

Within the University

  • Served on the committee of undergraduate student recruitment for SUSTech in Guizhou Province, Guangdong Province, and Shanghai in 2019, providing student evaluations on College Entrance Examination for SUSTech.
  • Served as the receptionist on a regular basis for SUSTech undergraduates and external visitors from the industrial, universities, or government officials during lab visit or university tours.

Within Undergraduate College

  • Served as the College Life Mentor for Shude College[2] for a total of 20 undergraduate students since 2018, providing general consultancy help them adjust to the university life.
    • One student under my supervision was awarded as one of the ten SUSTech Excellent Undergraduates for the year of 2022, which is the highest honor for SUSTech undergraduate students.
  • Served as a guest lecturer for the Shude College in 2022, giving a one-hour presentation on the topic of High-Speed Robotic Waster Sorting.
  • Served as a guest speaker for the Shuli College in 2022, aiming at undergraduate recruitment for the department.

Within the SUSTech Robotics Student Club

  • Served as the founding supervisor for the SUSTech Robotics Student Club, providing general and technical consultancy to student members joining national or international competitions and activities in robotics. The student club members have won multiple awards on various levels from various competitions, including RoboCon.
    • The club is rated as the 3-star student club at SUSTech, which is the highest distinction for student clubs at SUSTech.
    • One student of the club was awarded as one of the ten SUSTech Excellent Undergraduates for the year of 2022, which is the highest honor for SUSTech undergraduate students.
  • Served as the academic supervisor for students in SUSTech Capstone Project for three consecutive years, with the students won the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd awards each in different years.

Outside SUSTech

  • Served as members of professional associations, including a Senior Member of IEEE, a Member of Design Society, a Member of the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industrial Association.
  • Served as an Associate Editor for the IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA) in 2023 and 2024.

  • Served as a Guest Associate Editor for the Frontiers in Robotics and AI for the Special Issue on the Design and Mechanoreception of Hybrid Actuators.
    • Co-edited with Prof. Zhang Wenlong from Arizona State University and Prof. Wang Zheng from SUSTech
  • Served as a Workshop Organizer for IEEE-RAS International Conference on Humanoid Robots (HUMANOIDS) in 2018 for the Workshop on Computational & Intelligent Soft Devices for Humanoid and Wearable Applications.
    • Co-organized with Prof. Pan Jia from the University of Hong Kong and Prof. Wang Zheng from SUSTech
  • Served on the Conference Organizing Committee of the 2023 Conference on the Fundamental Theory and Key Technologies of Soft Robotics, Shenzhen.
  • Served as the Reviewer for multiple conferences and journals.
